User Researcher

Trained in cognition, research methods, and data processing, combined with 5+ years of experience within user research, I know how to generate and activate data-driven insights. For me, user research means supporting product development by informing and validating the creation of meaningful products and experiences for our users; assisting leadership in their decision-making by providing user insights; and most importantly, being the users’ advocate.

Connected

I connect different data points and sources
to create user insights. Applying different research methods to triangulate and get a deeper understanding.

Empathic

I empathise with users, colleagues and stakholders to understand complexities and identify opportunities. I am passionate about my work and exicted to learn new things.

Analytical

I can't help but to analyse and find patterns. I notice details and inconsistencies and strive to resolve them. I want to understand how things work and bring structure to them.

I collaborate and support PMs, designers, leadership and developers with tangible user insights and actionable design input. I conduct product-specific and foundational user research focused on our B2B digital products accompanying payment services. I apply a broad toolkit, including qual. and quant. methods to fit the research needs and resources at hand.

UX Researcher & Designer

Supporting physical product development and GUI design, I engaged with HCPs to understand their needs when using and interacting with medical imaging devices. Throughout the design process, I applied various research methods, such as observational field studies, early concept and prototype testing, explorative interviews, and summative user testing.

UX Analyst

I had project responsibility within our UXLab, designing and conducting user test for Medtech clients. When needed, we adopted new research methods from the fields of cognitive science and psychology. I applied usability heuristics and levels of cognition to analyse, iterate and improve visual and written material for clients from the pharma and public sector.

01

Archetypes

For internal stakeholders we have created user archetype descriptions for print and digital media. More fitting for a B2B context, the archetypes focused on our users mindset, motivations, needs and behaviours rather than demographics and personal life stories. Through foundational explorative research, followed by validating user interviews, 6 parameters with which the 4 archetypes can be described have been identified. Since their introduction, the archetypes have been added to our Atlassian products as personas and are used during the SAFe PI plannings.

02

From paper to injection mould

I assisted throughout the full design process from sketch to production of a hand-held medical imaging device. I stood for the planning and execution of various research activities with HCPs including exploratory interviews, concept testing, ergonomic testing, and summative user testing. Besides the research, I co-designed the GUI for the touchscreen device.

03

Mental models

When communicating complex, abstract or invisible topics, humans often use mental models in figurative speech or visual communication. Together with colleagues and researchers within microbiology, we investigated how our mental models, represented in illustrations, affect HCPs decisions for treatment plans. This allowed us further, to create updated communication material, drawing on existing mental models while addressing overseen complexity in a congruent manner. Read article for more information.
